Chaos From The Top Down | Keith Maiden

An exhibition first for Keith Maiden at Blackwater Gallery, ‘Chaos from the top down’ was a culmination of Maidens observations, experiences, and views on the social and political events of 2020.

Taking place at our Cardiff Bay gallery, ‘Chaos from the top down’ comprised of a collection of 15 new and previously unreleased works from Maiden. The exhibition included mixed media portraiture on a large and medium scale, sketches, monochrome and colour editions.

Subject matter for the collection was deeply influenced by the events of 2020, both social, economical, and political. Maiden attempts to deconstruct the media narrative of events such as the Black Lives Matter Movement, Media censorship, and Covid 19 and its affect on the UK.
